Hadley's Baby Shower

Saturday December 4th was Hadley's baby shower! Lori, Marilyn, Leslie, Tanya & Sis. Mandie did an outstanding job, they truly made it feel like a celebration of Hadley's pending (sooner than we thought!)arrival! If you have ever hosted a shower you know how tiring it can be and everyone gets a little delirious at the end, after everyone left is when it REALLY got fun! It was so nice to have all, or at least a lot of my friends and family join in the fun. Plus we got lots of great gifts! Lori of course went WAY overboard, which is why everything she's involved with is so faboosh! The decorations were all vintage baby themed and GORGEOUS! www.silverspoonscraps.com custom designed tons of things for us!! The food was to die for! Spicy chicken salad on croissants, fruit in a carved watermelon baby carriage, oriental chicken salad, cheeseball, pink macaroon things (sorry Tanya I don't know the correct name) cupcakes, cake, veggie tower, BLT dip, we all had several plates and brought home tons of leftovers! I love shower food! Needless to say I am still washing and putting away gifts. Thanks to everyone who came and helped make it so special! I know Hadley can't wait to get home and dig through all of it!

Thanksgiving Lunch

Friday I had Thanksgiving lunch with Vivianne and Aidan at their school. It brought back many wonderful memories (I attended the same school)and made me realize how THANKFUL I am for my little turkey's AND for such a wonderful CHRIST centered education. In addition to a wonderful education I have formed lifelong friendships that started at CA with fellow students as well as my former teachers. I have been blessed with the BEST in all aspects of life!

Who knew putting together a babies room could be so challenging? Uncle Nick came over and painted Hadley's furniture, when Nick and Andy decided to bring in the baby bed it wouldn't fit through the bedroom doorway! So the baby bed had to be taken apart and put back together inside the room! Then Andy put it back together with himself inside it and had to crawl out. Of course he didn't tell us any of this until after the fact! Needless to say the room is NOT ready; everything is in the room but nothing is arranged or organized. I guess I need to get busy! The official countdown is thirteen more weeks!

Pig Chase!

Vivianne's class went to the pumpkin patch today. She won the Pig Chase! I am one proud Tante. Lori said the rest of the time she carried around a silky chicken and a baby goat. I'm sure she will be wanting one of those creatures! I'm hoping she goes for the piglet!
